KKK Extra Cedit

The KKK was in fact, a group of predominately white males and their families that hated all blacks and Jews. The KKK started out as a few men trying to rebel against segregation, but quickly grew nation-wide. The KKK was notorious for their random out-burts and killings of many blacks and Jews. They would shoot someone up on the street simply for their skin color. However, as the law tried to stop them, they became worse and worse. Expanding into their own subgroups and killing more and more innocent people as the days progressed. By the end of the KKK, thousands of lives had been lost, but the KKK finally settled down. There still are many strong members of the KKK, mostly hick rednecks with nothing better to do, but there still are many groups out there and even if they aren't apart of the KKK, there are many people that are sill racist.

Labor Union

In the 1820's, the labor unions made an effort to reduce the usual working day from 12 to 10 hours. Many people began to show interest in the idea of grouping together in hope that they could find common objectives for the people that work. This seemed easy enough.. At least until the 1830's came around and a lot of the employers started to see the power of their employees. They started to increase the local union organizations all throughout the 19th century. In many places, unions joined together in city-wide federations. Thus forming The National Labor Union in 1866.

This cartoon depicts the time whenever the business owners tried to squash all of the rebellious workers.

Manifest Destiny

To me, this picture depicts the time whenever the settlers moved around the continent because God told them so. There are many people moving and carrying their personal belongings in hope that they will find a place where they can live.

Civil War Reconstruction

1. I see the former slaves staying with their masters because they are poor and don't have any money.
2. I think they could have added sharecropping to the bill so that they newly freed slaves could at least have some money.
3. The Southerns probably had problems with having to provide clothing and shelter for their slaves after they were all freed.

1. The attitude towards the slave owners was nasty, but definitely fair. They were just trying to make it fair for the black people.

2. I think that she's right about how the southerns will fight for their rights no matter what because obviously, they didn't give up even after everything they went through.

3. No, they wouldn't because she said that after they "shot up" the voting polls so that blacks couldn't vote, her brothers and herself came home to celebrate.
