1. I see the former slaves staying with their masters because they are poor and don't have any money.
2. I think they could have added sharecropping to the bill so that they newly freed slaves could at least have some money.
3. The Southerns probably had problems with having to provide clothing and shelter for their slaves after they were all freed.

1. The attitude towards the slave owners was nasty, but definitely fair. They were just trying to make it fair for the black people.

2. I think that she's right about how the southerns will fight for their rights no matter what because obviously, they didn't give up even after everything they went through.

3. No, they wouldn't because she said that after they "shot up" the voting polls so that blacks couldn't vote, her brothers and herself came home to celebrate.
